Practice of Counseling & Psychotherapy

Hello, and welcome!  My name is Tricia L. Lipka, M.S.W., L.C.S.W. (NC: C005568) (NPI: I083958508) (Trish Johnson).  I enjoy working with people as a psychotherapist and licensed clinical social worker in private practice offering individual and family therapy, as well as groups and classes for health and healing.  I hope this information about myself and my practice is helpful to you.

 

I am deeply committed to helping people become more fully present for themselves, their lives and their loved ones.  As an experienced therapist familiar with a wide range of mental health issues, my practice focus includes

I earned my Bachelor's in Art (BA, English major) from the University of Notre Dame and my Master's in Clinical Social Work (MSW) from Smith College School for Social Work in Northampton, MA.  My background includes training at Duke University and the Duke University Medical Center, the Duke Center for Integrative Medicine and the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Program at Duke, the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas (PCC), and the Thomas Jefferson University Medical College in Philadelphia.  Previously, I worked as a staff psychotherapist, group leader and educator at Structure House, a nationally recognized residential treatment facility focused on health and lifestyle change.  In addition to my clinical and teaching roles, I also have a background in healthcare executive-level project administration, strategic planning, marketing and communications.

 

My practice is convenient to a variety of communities in the greater Raleigh / Triangle area of North Carolina, and I offer virtual appointments as well.  I look forward to the possibility of meeting you!
